Each time you upload, download or install new software (game, file updates, music, exe files) you make changes to the running of your computer. But sometimes that change may make your computer do some strange things. Have you ever wanted to turn back time to the way it was? With Restore point, you can.
Restore point works a lot like a time machine for you computer. You can go back to the good times when your computer was running good. Restore point will not remove any personal data files (such as Ms office documents, browsing history, drawings, favourites, or e-mail) so don’t any think you have inputted your self.
Windows XP if restore point has been switched on, will save your computer history. Windows XP also creates restore points at the time of significant system events (upload, download file are installed) or you can give each restore points a name at any time. If you have installed some think & your computer is playing up, then just open restore point & go back in time to the good times.
Its easy to do because, a calendar is used for you to find the restore points you need. Low users Don’t worry if you don't see a date high lighted. High users will have more dates high lighted on the calendar.
Here are two ways to start Restore point
1.Through Help and Support
2.Through your All Programs folder.
| 1 | Click Start (@ the bottom left hand corner of the screen), and then click Help and Support. (In the box that you opened) |
| 2 | Under Pick a Task, click Undo changes to your computer with System Restore. |
| 3 | Then Follow the instructions on the wizard. (there is no time limit |
| 1 | Click Start (@ the bottom left hand corner of the screen). |
| 2 | Point to All Programs then click (In the box that you opened you will find all programme on the bottom left). |
| 3 | Point to Accessories then click (you will need to keep your mouse steady & you will find it on the left near the top) |
| 4 | Point to System Tools then click. |
| 5 | Click System Restore. |
| 6 | Then Follow the instructions on the wizard (no time limit here) |
You now can do this as many time, as you like. Then if something your not happy with you just go back in time. our to your first Windows XP system changes.

| 2 | Then click create a restore point, and then click Next. |
| 3 | In the Restore point description box, type a name to identify this restore point as seen in below. Restore point automatically adds the date and time to this file point you created. |
| 1 | To end this created restore point, click Create. |
| 2 | To cancel restore point creation and return to the Welcome to System Restore screen, click Back. |
| 3 | To cancel restore point creation and exit the System Restore Wizard, click Cancel. |
To view or to return to this restore point, from the Welcome to System Restore screen of the Restore point Wizard select Restore my computer to an earlier time. Then find the date you need from the calendar in the Select a Restore Point screen. All of the restore points you created and you computer created on the selected date are listed by name in the list box to the right of the calendar.
